Bildungsurlaub is a form of educational leave available to employees in most German states. Eligible students can take either 5 days off per year or 10 days every two years to attend an approved course, such as our Intensive 30. Please note, this is for education, not vacation, and each of Germanyʼs states has its own regulations. Our Intensive 30 Spanish Course recognized as Bildungsurlaub.

Bayern and Sachsen are the only states that do not offer Bildungsurlaub.

What are the requirements?

To qualify for Bildungsurlaub, students need to enroll in our 30-group lesson course, which consists of 22,5 real hours of instruction. Some of Germanyʼs states, (like Hessen, Hessen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Niedersachen oder Schleswig-Holstein), require 7,5 additional hours that are covered through homework or educational activities.
